The Old Brother me was on a date with Super Sister around Chinatown and we chanced upon this dessert shop called Mei Heong Yuen Dessert (味香园). We were attracted by the huge crowd happily enjoy their desserts at the shop and we knew we have to give it a try.
There is a huge variety of traditional desserts and the thirst-quenching snow ice. It is easily the most popular tourist dessert shop around the area with the shop packed like sardines.
We ordered our regular favourites, Sesame Paste for me while Super Sister ordered her Milk pudding.
The Black Sesame Paste is definitely a step up from the ones I had at the Food Court, but not as yummy as those I had at some of the wet markets that are much cheaper.
The Milk Pudding though was yummy as Super Sister finished it in no time! The interior of the shop is comfortable and there are a lot of posters hanging on the wall with simple introductions of their top sellers.
It was a place where adults and families alike can chit chat away while having a temporary respite from the scorching Singapore heat.
And of course not forgetting a selfie before we finish our dessert.
Here is the address of the branch we visited:
Address : No. 63 – 67 Temple Street

After doing some research on the shop, I realise it has many outlets all over Singapore. Feel free to visit their website to find out more.
